COLORTHON 2021 PROVES TO BE MOST SUCCESSFUL YET!
The excitement had been building in the school as OLM students prepared for the annual Colorthon Fundraiser. Students knew they’d be eligible for prizes if they received the most donations in their name, and the class that raised the most money would receive a pizza, ice cream or donut party.
Depending on the students’ grade, they walked a designated route around the school property while being sprayed with various colors of chalk paint. Once they completed their route, they enjoyed snacks out on the field. Some lucky kids, including first grader Liliana Guerriero of Warwick, even got to spray Principal McNabb with paint!
There was a wonderful turnout of teachers, students, parish staff and parent volunteers. The OLM Parent Teacher Group, led by Gaiya Berube, did a remarkable job putting the event together for students. And with $28,000 raised, it was the most successful Colorthon fundraiser to date!
