Our Lady of Mercy School Strives to
Make the First Day of School Memorable
After a six month hiatus from the school building, the community at Our Lady of Mercy was more than ready to welcome back students September 1. The faculty and staff went above and beyond to make sure the kids were both healthy and happy. With new custom grade air purification in every classroom, hourly cleaning of the bathrooms, and full classroom sanitation, the school has made all the necessary facilities adjustments while also implementing proper hand cleaning and face mask wearing.
According to one OLM parent, “We are thrilled with the reopening of OLM. It is obvious that the principal, teachers and entire staff worked very hard to open the school safely while still fostering a positive learning environment.”
With a tradition of excellence in Catholic elementary and middle school education since 1951, Our Lady of Mercy School offers its students an opportunity to pursue excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. Accredited by the New England Association of School and Colleges, the pre-k through grade 8, co-educational Catholic school located in East Greenwich provides a nurturing, values-driven environment built upon the teachings of the Catholic Church.
