OLM Library Hosts Annual Book Fair
The annual Book Fair in the OLM School Library is an eagerly awaited tradition each year. In partnership with Best Books Fairs, a family-based business out of Massachusetts, students have an opportunity to explore books at their grade level, and make purchases during their regularly scheduled library period. This year, Belle’s Enchanted Book Fair, being held April 2-7, has transformed the library into a wonderland of books and magic, complete with a tulle and rose-covered canopy and white lights, battery operated lanterns and a castle backdrop. The perfect setting for a love of books is also celebrating the school’s upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr, being held at the Prout School April 26-27. In a true display of the teamwork and collaboration exhibited by the faculty and staff at OLM school, Librarian Cheryl Maynard and several staff members shared that parts of the decor from the Library will be recycled as set pieces not only for the upcoming play but also for the school’s re-enactment of The Last Supper, being held on Thursday, April 10. Students also had the opportunity to engage with their “reading buddies” where Middle School students are paired with students in the lower grades to share their enthusiasm for reading.
