OLM School Celebrates Feast of All Saints
Mrs. Jennifer Nygren’s Fifth Grade class had to be especially alert the morning after Halloween as they were serving as hosts for the OLM school and Parish community’s 9:00 am. Mass. To honor the Feast of All Saints, when the Catholic Church gathers to commemorate all of the saints in heaven, the students had prepared framed photos of favorite saints, did readings and served as altar servers, and gathered with family and friends for a reception in the school cafeteria following the Mass. With the school’s mission focused on striving to be saints and scholars, the Holy Day is particularly meaningful as all in the community are continually reminded of their goal here on earth, to be all God has called them to be and as Pastor Fr. Bernard Healey stated in his homily, “to know, love and serve God.”
