OLM Students Portray Last Supper on Holy Thursday
As the students in Ms. Jean Perretta’s Second Grade Class are preparing to receive their First Holy Communion this May, it is entirely fitting that they had the privilege of taking part in a very special re-enactment of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday. As the event took place in the school gymnasium, with the entire student body gathered in silence, the students were reverent and attentive. With assistance from some Eighth Graders serving in the roles of Jesus and His Disciple, the Second Graders read passages from scripture and re-enacted Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, the Washing of the Feet, The Last Supper and the Agony in the Garden. It was a poignant beginning to the Easter Triduum liturgies that took place in church during the Easter weekend.
