OLM Students Raise Funds, Breast Cancer Awareness During School-Wide  “Pink-Out”

DSC_0023East Greenwich, RI — The OLM School community has a tradition of “dressing down” (ie: bringing in money in exchange for the opportunity to dress out of uniform) on the last Friday of each month to support a particular cause. Though usually, the last Friday in October is reserved for wearing orange and black, October 30 of this year was a different theme altogether.  In support of Breast Cancer awareness, students, faculty and staff donned pink and brought in over $450.  Combined with raffles that took place all week, the OLM community raised close to $700 for a very special cause.  The funds were raised to support the sister-in-law of beloved Physical Education teacher David Stefanik who is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. True to OLM’s mission, the community once again reached out in mercy to someone in need.
