Our Lady of Mercy School Holds Annual Open House

East Greenwich, RI – Our Lady of Mercy School, located at 55 Fourth Avenue in East Greenwich, is hosting its annual Open House for current and prospective families on Sunday, January 30th from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.  Visitors will be greeted by students, faculty, and staff and will have the opportunity to tour the school and discover all of the academic, spiritual, and extra-curricular programs that OLM is proud to offer.  OLM School’s Campus Cuisine lunch program will be on hand with complimentary offerings from our vendors such as Wild Harvest, Tio Mateo’s, Panera Bread, Pizza Heaven, and Chick-fil-A.

With all-day pre-k and kindergarten through Grade 8, Our Lady of Mercy School encourages students toward academic excellence that is firmly rooted in the Catholic tradition.  OLM offers a challenging curriculum with multiple enrichment opportunities that include Spanish classes for pre-k through eighth grade, technology, music, library, art, and physical education.  Outside of the classroom, OLM offers cross country, basketball, soccer, baseball, robotics, drama, yearbook, mock trial, and student council, plus numerous clubs like chess, Girls on the Run, and a stock market club.  Before- and after-school care is available, and bus service is provided from East Greenwich, Coventry, West Warwick, and parts of Warwick.  OLM graduates consistently rank at the top of their high school classes, with many entering honors programs in Catholic high schools throughout the diocese.

Also on January 30th , Our Lady of Mercy Parish will welcome all OLM School graduates to a special Alumni Mass at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church.  Graduates from throughout the school’s history are welcome to attend the Mass and then proceed to OLM school for tours, refreshments, and the opportunity to re-discover the OLM advantage.
